In a Maine coastal village toward the end of the 19th century, the swaggering, carefree carnival barker, Billy Bigelow, captivates and marries the naive millworker, Julie Jordan. Billy loses his job just as he learns that Julie is pregnant and, desperately intent upon providing a decent life for his family, he is coerced into being an accomplice to a robbery. Caught in the act and facing the certainty of prison, he takes his own life and is sent 'up there.' Billy is allowed to return to earth for one day fifteen years later, and he encounters the daughter he never knew. How Billy instils in both the child and her mother a sense of hope and dignity is a dramatic testimony to the power of love.

The company was set up by local performer Catharine Humphrys and Musical Director Alex Parker after their first successful concert at The Electric Theatre - Come One, Come All in 2009. Favourite songs will be reprised and previous PH shows revisited including A Little Night Music, Follies, Marguerite, Passion, Sweeney Todd and original musical written by Alex Parker and Katie Lam - Amateur Dramatics: A Musical Comedy, first performed by PH at The Electric Theatre in 2014. A contemporary jazz group of the crescent city’s 'up and coming' generation of younger musicians, who have individually been sidemen to many of New Orleans' legendary musicians including Ellis Marsalis, Jason Marsalis, Delfaeyo Marsalis, Irvin Mayfield, Shannon Powell and Herlin Riley, among many others, The Session are steeped in a rich tradition and take great pride in not only respecting jazz’s historical traditions, but actively learning and playing them.
