Mr Paul Middleton (Objects)

Comment submitted date: Sat 07 Feb 2015

With reference to application 14/P/00091 ? 246 London Road, Burpham, Guildford, GU4 7LD, we wish to raise the following objections:

1. We have windows to principal rooms which would have the light restricted and views spoiled by raising the bungalow to add another floor with a pitched roof.

2. The submitted plan shows a two storey property, where the roof is raised to significantly exceed 3 metres ? this existing wall of the bungalow is within 2 metres of our boundary.

3. The plans submitted are inaccurate. For example, there has been a new porch structure that has been added to the front of the bungalow and we understand that this may not be permitted development by class D as the overall ground area appears to exceed 3 square metres. This new structure erected in 2014 is not shown in the drawings.

4. Our neighbours have also erected a covered storage area running the length of their property adjacent to our home which is not shown on the plans.

5. Looking at the overhead view of the proposed scheme, the window on the side elevation next to our property appears to have moved from its original position.

6. The plans also do not show the large storage container that has been sited in the front garden since at least July 2012 (ref Google streetview) and we notice that in the past week a second container has been also placed in the front garden.

7. This application should be considered in conjunction the important communication, reference 15/W/00007, (prior notification for a single storey 8m rear extension, dated 21 January 2015), which together represents a large development of the site.
